New Compact Sedan Design, Chevrolet Cobalt

Modern car concept below is Chevrolet Cobalt variant which is conceived in South America at the GM Design center. Cobalt model from Chevrolet is expected as compact sedan variant for global market. Some features on Cobalt variant has been improved such the LED light implementation and glass roof installation. These improved features are combined with large cabin to give additional comfort inside the car interior. For introducing the Cobalt concept to the public, at the 5th International Motor Show in Buenos Aires which was held from 17 until 26 June 2011, Chevrolet has premiered the new compact sedan Cobalt variant.

The design language of Cobalt sedan is resulted from combinations of many design elements, such as resembling the design language on Malibu variant to give design character to the front end. The Malibu design character is shown by the distinctive side sculpting line on current sedan. Carlos Barba, Director of GM Design in South America, said: “The whole interior has been designed for maximum comfort and refinement. We made this very clear by using leather in the door panels and seats as well as wooden trims.”
