Peter Norris is an automotive designer which creates the concept of Citroen Teranis concept, a futuristic 2-seater off – road racer. The designer addresses this vehicle to be used in the Paris Dakar Rally competition, so that the Citroen Taranis is completed with in–wheel electric motors and also an outboard double jointed wheel set – up. According to the Peter’s description, “starting from the initial brief the design evolved into something slightly different and I took it a bit further than my last two concepts (the Pininfarina Coupe and the Honda Chopper motorcycle)”.
This off – road is powered by electric motors which are attached in every wheel hub, this feature is also applied on other Peter’s design, Honda Chopper that contribute to reduce the center of gravity. He continued, “The double-jointed front swingarms also help to reduce what would otherwise be an enormous turning circle. A luxury finish combined with a unique layout sets this off-roader apart from other concepts, with gullwing doors adding a final touch of flair.”
